Continuing our long history of involvement, during September, ExxonMobil participated in Gastech 2022, the largest integrated conference and exhibition supporting the global natural gas, liquefied natural gas (LNG) and low-carbon solutions value chains.
This year at Gastech, ExxonMobil participated in more than 300 meetings with key stakeholders and a total of seven of our colleagues spoke on panels on various strategic and technical topics. ExxonMobil Upstream Company Senior Vice President, Peter Clarke joined executives from across the sector in a panel discussion entitled Facing up to the Realities of a Changed Global Energy Landscape during which he characterized recent industry volatility as a catalyst for refocusing attention on business fundamentals and the importance of taking a long-term view.
Nearly 500 guests joined ExxonMobil employees at our first customer reception in several years, where we showcased our Power Play initiative and announced the 2022 Power Play Award winners. The awards recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of remarkable women in the LNG industry as well as those who support and empower them.
Building rich connections
The Gastech event offered ExxonMobil an important opportunity to solidify connections between employees, partners and customers ― all while working to grow and evolve LNG and other ExxonMobil businesses.
“As a leader in our industry,” said Peter Clarke, “we are looked upon to continue to supply reliable, affordable and low-emission energy as well as help provide solutions for our customers as they work to meet net-zero ambitions. The relationships made and strengthened during the conference are vital in maintaining our positive reputation and furthering our business through the long-term.”
