In July, ExxonMobil participated in LNG23 in Vancouver, the largest global LNG industry conference and exhibition .
ExxonMobil was well represented at the event, with over 100 meetings, three speaking sessions and a Power Play reception hosted at our booth. Peter Clarke, Senior Vice President, Global LNG, ExxonMobil Upstream Company, spoke on LNG’s role in the energy trilemma, driving the point that LNG is the key to unlocking a global lower-carbon future. Andrew Barry, Vice President, Global LNG Marketing & Chairman, ExxonMobil LNG Market Development, shared his perspective on the interrelationship between geopolitics and LNG trade flows, by taking a step back and looking at the fundamentals of energy demand. Tze San Koh, President, China Gas Marketing, discussed the role of LNG in meeting nationally determined contributions, emphasizing the important of moving NDC’s into actionable policy.
The Power Play reception, hosted at the ExxonMobil booth, had tremendous turn out and yielded important dialogue around the Power Play initiative: to help bring together women in the LNG industry to network and do business.
