Indo-Pacific LNG delegation visits ExxonMobil Houston campus

A group of government and industry officials from Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam received a warm welcome at the ExxonMobil Houston Campus during June. The visitors were interested to learn some of the ways ExxonMobil is helping to meet the Indo-Pacific region’s LNG future demand.

“All three countries represented by the delegates offer great growth opportunities for future LNG demand,” says Vice President, ExxonMobil LNG Market Development Ed Austin, who hosted the group. “It was an excellent opportunity to strengthen relationships while highlighting the breadth of our LNG projects, operations and resources.” Delegates enjoyed discussions of ExxonMobil’s LNG capabilities and a tour of our state-of-the-art campus north of Houston.

The campus visit was part of an Indo-Pacific LNG Supply and Gas Infrastructure Reverse Trade Mission, organized in cooperation with the U.S. Trade Development Agency. Bilateral Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive Officer Aida Araissi led the delegation, along with Indonesia’s Deputy Minister for Energy Management, Natural Resources and Environment Dr. Montty Girianna; Philippines’ Energy Regulatory Commissioner Catherine Maceda; and Vietnam’s Deputy Chief, Electricity and Renewable Energy Authority Nguyen Phuong Mai.

We look forward to further discussions on developing LNG infrastructure and resources to support economic development across the Indo-Pacific,” Austin says.
