Conference draws global visitors

The ExxonMobil team joined about 35,000 people from around the world at the Gastech Conference & Exhibition in Houston September 17-19. Speaking at the opening ceremony, ExxonMobil Global Head of LNG Peter Clarke said, “We are excited to be here and share our experience in the natural gas and LNG industry.”

ExxonMobil was the Co-Host Sponsor for the conference, and the Strategic Partner for two spotlight programs: Young Gastech and Diversity & Inclusion in Energy. Additional featured speakers included LNG Marketing Vice President Alex Volkov, Global Sustainable Procurement Manager Nancy Swartout, Human Resources Manager Julie Rae and Asset Backed Trading Project Executive Matt Tucker.

ExxonMobil presented the first-ever Power Play Awards during a ceremony at Houston’s historic Corinthian Hotel. More than 175 companies across 52 countries registered interest in the awards, which recognize the accomplishments of remarkable women and the men who support them in the LNG industry.

In the exhibition hall, the ExxonMobil booth hosted back-to-back business meetings throughout the week with international policymakers, customers and partners. Guests enjoyed booth activities including a 360-degree movie about the LNG value chain, a Storytelling Showcase and an interactive world LNG map.
